IEEE HOST 2027 Call for Papers
IEEE International Symposium on Hardware Oriented Security and Trust (HOST) – the premier event aiming to facilitate the rapid growth of hardware security research and development – has opened the call for contributions. The 20th HOST will be held in May 2027 at Washington, DC. HOST 2027 invites original contributions in all areas of hardware and security, including but not limited to:
- AI and Hardware Security
- e.g., AI for hardware security enforcement or finding hardware vulnerabilities, hardware security for AI models, new security principles for trustworthy AI
- Computer-aided Design (CAD) for Hardware Security Verification
- e.g., design-time verification, testing, and metrics for hardware security across the lifecycle.
- Hardware Security Primitives
- e.g., PUFs, TRNGs, cryptography, post-quantum cryptography, hardware meters.
- Hardware Attack and Defense
- e.g., hardware Trojans, fault injection, side-channels, hardware reverse engineering, hardware obfuscation.
- Architecture Security
- e.g., architectural side-channels, trusted execution environment, FPGA, and reconfigurable fabric security.
- System Security
- e.g., SoC/IP security, CPS/IoT security, sensor network security, smart grid security, cloud security, secure boot, attestation and device provisioning, provenance, hardware–software co-design for security, trusted update mechanisms.
- Chiplet, Packaging, and Heterogeneous Integration Security
- e.g. advanced packaging security, chiplet/interposer trust, die-to-die interfaces, 2.5D/3D integration.
- Emerging Security and Privacy Threats and Solutions
- e.g., privacy-enhancing architecture, blockchain, quantum platforms, cryptocurrency security, and hardware/system security topics.
HOST 2027 has two submission windows. Please submit your paper at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=host2027. This year, two paper submission formats will be allowed: A long paper format with a page limit of 10 pages and up to 2 pages of references and a short paper format with a page limit of 5 pages and up to 1 page of references, both in double column, IEEE format, with a minimum font size of 10 points. Paper templates are available at https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html. Only work that has not been previously published at the time of the submission will be considered. Duplicate submissions to concurrent conferences/journals are not permissible, and if encountered will be rejected and reported to IEEE. The paper selection will involve a double-blind review: the identity of authors must not be revealed, directly or indirectly, throughout the entire process, with all references to the author(s)’ own previous work being in the third person. Only the long paper format will undergo a rebuttal process in which authors may address reviewer comments. Also, please avoid “omitted for blind review” in the bibliography and make sure that the PDF metadata does not contain author information. HOST follows IEEE rules regarding arXiv submissions. The authors may upload preliminary versions of their manuscript during the review process but must include the IEEE copyright statement if accepted for publication in the HOST proceedings.
