ACM/SIGDA Physical Design Technical Committee

ACM/SIGDA Physical Design Technical Committee is a new initiative and its goal is to establish new research directions and provide support, suggestions, and ideas for technical activities related to Physical Design, as well as to main events in this area (e.g., ISPD, SLIP and related activities at DAC/ICCAD).

Activities:

 

1. PD-TC will be a voice speaking for the interest of the PD community, for example, to assure sufficient level of funding, sufficient allocation to the PD papers in major CAD conferences, etc.

 

2. PD-TC provides a link between SIGDA and the PD community.  In particular,

PD-TC will promote PD in other communities and their key conferences, such as ISCA and MICRO for computer architecture,  ISSS-CODES for system-level synthesis, etc.

 

3. PD-TC facilitates to introduce new topics to the PD community, by organizing one-day workshops that brings experts from different communities on emerging topics.

 

 

Upcoming events:

 

PD-TC will publish a book for the 10th ISPD anniversary, along with comments from experts in the field about how the work changed the EDA field.
